We are part of nature, not apart from it

anraw was born from a simple belief — that true value comes from what nature freely gives, when we treat it with patience and respect. We don’t see ourselves as separate from nature. We’re part of it, and everything we make is built on that idea.

For over 10 years, anraw has operated as a dedicated agarwood workshop, working from our own growing areas in Nong Son, Quang Nam, and in partnership with local farmers. Every product is made honestly, without shortcuts — some steps by hand, some supported by machines where it helps preserve quality and consistency. No additives. No synthetic fragrance. Just real agarwood, and people who know what they’re doing.

Every piece we make carries our three commitments — to eco-friendly living, to holistic wellness, and to the farmers and artisans who keep this craft alive.

Where it comes from

Our agarwood is Vietnamese, through and through — grown in the central highlands, in mountains shaped by heavy rain, strong sun, and everything in between. That mix of hard and soft conditions is part of what gives it its depth. We happen to be based in Quang Nam — we were born and raised here — and it’s where anraw’s story began, but we also work with a few trusted growers in other parts of the country.

We should also be honest about something: wild agarwood is rare now. There’s far less of it left in the forest than there was even a decade ago. Most of what we work with today is grown — on hillsides, in home gardens, on small family farms — by people who’ve spent years learning how to grow it properly. We work directly with them, season after season, not just to source wood, but to help build something steadier for their families and for the land itself.

How we work

Everything we make is handled with care, the way it’s always been done here. Some parts by hand, some supported by machines where it helps keep quality consistent — but never with shortcuts. No additives, no synthetic fragrance. Just real agarwood, and people who know what they’re doing.

We believe in three things, and we try to hold ourselves to them with every batch:

Eco-Friendly Living. What we make is 100% natural. Nothing synthetic goes in, so nothing harmful comes back out — into the air you breathe or the earth it eventually returns to.

Holistic Wellness. Agarwood has been used for centuries to help people slow down — in meditation, in prayer, in ordinary quiet moments at home. We make ours with that purpose in mind, not just for scent.

Sustainable Local Products. Every purchase supports the farmers and artisans we work with directly — fair pricing, steady income, and a reason to keep this craft, and this land, alive for the next generation.
